Choosing Passwords

A password is a combination of characters created by someone as a form of authentication to protect things from being seen or accessed by others. Usually, passwords are memorable. The most common sorts of passwords are based on personal things to the individual, such as names of pets, birthplaces, favourite holiday destinations, maiden names or favourite sport teams. I, on the other hand, beg to differ.

The amount of passwords I have chosen for access to my university results are astounding and never-ending. I have had passwords like Apes Eat Bananas, Gorillas Eat Bananas Too, Omg Lol, Psycho, Fully Sick, Pirate, and random other passwords which i do not remember due to the fact that I have to constantly change them. My password choice depends on what is surrounding me at the time of having to set a new password, despite the fact that I am not commonly surrounded by apes or gorillas eating bananas, nor pirates. Most of the time, my password choice originates from random things that cross my mind and happen to magically remain there for the life of my password. This is probably why I would be the worst person to hack, unless my hacker would happen to own some sort of mind-reading device. But I doubt anybody would go through all of that trouble to delve into my psyche. This enforces the good security strength of my passwords. I mean, who could possibly guess my password choice from the lack of pattern that I have provided above? There is one pattern, Apes Eat Bananas to Gorillas Eat Bananas Too, but then the password after it is Omg Lol. How can one ever predict that? Yes. They cannot.

I sometimes sit, whilst procrastinating in the duration of the time where I am to choose a new password, and ponder what it is that everyone else chooses to hide under the amount of asterisks protecting their beloved online details. I wonder if someone chooses them in the form of a pattern? Perhaps somebody is telling a story with their password choice? I'll make up one right now:

It's interesting, isn't it. It could be highly possible, so long as they do not repeat the password if it is on the same website, because most do not allow repetition due to possible hacking. I wonder too, if there is a website which saves people's passwords while they do not suspect it. Maybe they have a list, and they use passwords from that list to hack people. I bet you are beginning to feel a state of paranoia now. I am.

But it is okay. You will be alright. You are being watched now, tracked, seen. By different people. Maybe even hackers. Stick to viewing pornography on your magical computing machine rather than checking your bank account. Trust me. Alternatively if you are disinteresting and broke, do not trust me. In that event we know you hide your money in your sock drawer. I see that stash in your freezer, too. Surveillance is brutal.
